Builders Wanted

The Garden club needs some help with construction, in finishing our green house.  So those parents who love a building project are encouraged to contact Ms. Coughlin coughlin@aps.edu.

The Eldorado High School Parent Organization (EPO) serves to:

  • Foster communication between parents and school
  • Provide a forum for parent concerns
  • Bring into closer relationship the home and school so that parents, staff, and community may cooperate effectively in the education of the students at Eldorado High School (EHS)
  • Encourage parent involvement at EHS through working committees directed toward the betterment of EHS

EPO Meetings

Everyone is welcome to attend the monthly EPO meetings.  They are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, at 12:30pm, in the Counseling Conference room.

Major Programs
  • Eldorado Community Newsletter, sent electronically at least four times per year
  • Academic Letter Program, which recognizes student scholastic achievement
  • Fall Frenzy, campus-wide clean-up and campus improvement by volunteer help from students, parents, and community members
  • Provide parent representation on EHS and APS administrative committees
  • Recognition of EHS faculty and staff
  • Monthly Department lunches for staff and faculty
  • Recruit parent volunteers to help in the media center/book room as well as proctoring exams as needed

Membership

Funding for EPO activities comes from membership dues paid by Eldorado families. Our goal is to have 100% participation from our Eldorado community.

The suggested membership is $35 per family, but any amount is greatly appreciated. Treasurer’s reports and budget are available upon request.

Volunteer

We need your involvement to help to make this a successful school year. Anyone can volunteer to help the school, and we have various opportunities big and small. Even if you did not join EPO through monetary donation, your help is needed and so appreciated!

Here are a few ways you could help:

  • Donate drinks or food (homemade by you or purchased)
  • Greet people and pass out bulletins for events
  • Host at occasional special events
  • Join a committee and help with testing, the newsletter, the Eagle Closet, and so much more!
